Autism is weird and hard on everyone in a family. And its no picnic for churches, either.
Lori Sealy lives with autism and also parents a child with autism. And she loves God! Her story was interesting and encouraging – and I found her insights into presenting the gospel to those who live on the autism spectrum really helpful.
Thank you, Ruth Brewbaker, Director of Rooftop Friends at Young Meadows Presbyterian Church for sending it to me.
Hi John,
Do you, or the staff at Bethlehem, have a suggested book to encourage pastors in considering starting a Disability Ministry? I have read a number of books on the topic, ranging from the theology of disability to how to lead a disability ministry. I am looking for a book that would appeal to a pastor’s heart, not just a “how to” book. My pastor respect Pastor Piper, as well. I am a volunteer for Joni & Friends, so I have read many of their resources.
Thanks,

John,
I read everything of Lori’s that I run across. Her blog has provided some of the best insights I’ve found anywhere for understanding my son’s struggles from a Christian’s point of view. I don’t know of any other person with autism who is writing or speaking from this place. I was so excited to see you share this and hope that many will take the time to watch.
