He records them:You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle Are they not in your book? (Psalm 56:8 ESV)
He sheds them:And when (Jesus) drew near (Jerusalem) and saw the city, he wept over it, saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.” (Luke 19:41-42 ESV)
He wipes them away! And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3-4 ESV)
Life is short, and God is good:Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
(Psalm 30:5b ESV)
