This video is shocking, horrifying:
The bold proclamation about ‘putting a pillow over its face’ feels like a different kind of evil even than what we’ve seen proclaimed by abortion providers and their supporters.
But it really isn’t. Through every generation since the fall there have been people who thought or behaved exactly like what was articulated in this video. The fact that someone would feel free to say it, for whatever reason, is more a sign of the culture than it is of the person saying it.
The answer to that evil remains the same: Jesus.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:34-36
The world needs to know about this Jesus. The world needs to understand that God is a very big God, sovereign over everything that happens, including over little babies who suffer. And he provided Jesus.
It is an awesome thing to know and cling to and love this Jesus, who rips out hearts of stone that lead to bold statements about killing babies, and replaces it with hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26) that trust God to help every day address suffering in little children.
This video clip was forwarded to me, so I don’t know how the woman in the religious collar responded. It looked like she was as horrified as I felt.
Regardless, the ultimate answer is Jesus.
John,
This video has taken my breath away and left it in my throat. I have been a nurse since 1983. Most of my nursing experience has been in providing care to critically- ill patients in the intensive care unit. I have seen tremendous suffering in not only patients under my care, but also to their families. I can add my own suffering with Michael into the mix as well. Killing people because you do not want to see them suffer is not the answer. There is a grace for those who call upon the name of the Lord and repent and are saved. There are also compassionate and merciful ways to care for people to help alleviate their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual suffering. I try to provide such care at my work and also in caring for my own Fox. Deliberately killing people is an ultimate form of pride dictating “I will” for this suffering to stop.
I think of Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes.” Praise God that He can turn dark hearts toward Him and save us from such evil.
AHHHHHH!!! This is horrorifying!!! I so wish to see how the other lady reacted.
