Sometimes I wonder what Paul gets out of church. Then God gives me a little taste of what Paul is experiencing – and I am reminded all God’s children belong in God’s church!
During Easter services yesterday we sat as a family through the first part of the worship service, until Paul started to interrupt Pastor John. He and I enjoyed (and enjoyed is the right word) the rest of the service from the back.
And then at home Paul (and Jesus) gave me this Easter present:
Here is the entire version of Resurrection Chant by Dan Adler and performed by Heart of the City:

I think that’s the most beautiful rendition of that song I’ve ever seen! (Paul’s version) Praise Him from whom all blessings flow!
WOW! Way to make me tear up, John. So beautiful. I love Paul’s version the best!
Now THAT is precious and wonderful and beautiful. Praise God! Thanks for sharing this, John.
That was so beautiful and touching!

I love Paul’s Version of the Resurrection Chant. It is such a wonderful reminder that God touches every heart in a way that only He can! I am so thankful for Paul and what he has taught all of us!

Just another reminder that the “weaker” members of the body are indispensable. Thanks for the encouragement today.

John,
I love it. You hit it on the head how you referenced the gift of Paul’s singing from Jesus. That IS what it was brother. I know exactly how you felt listening to your boy sing the praise of his creator. My Joshua still cannot speak actual words, but oh does he make a joyful noise as we all sing praise to Jesus when we are in the car. This past Easter Sunday was no different. Hearing his precious voice sing praise in a manner that only he does… with all of his heart, soul and mind… rocks me to my core everytime. I am confident that such is a gift from God.
Beautiful rendition. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sending it. I loved it. It was really great.
Dear John,
Our 7 year-old just watched the two videos, starting with Paul’s. A few observations: she asked me to stop my ‘translating’ so she could hear Paul clearly. A few minutes into the Resurrection Chant video she asked if we could stop and go back to Paul’s as ‘Paul’s was better’. After the second time through Paul’s she remarked (ingenuously and spontaneously), ‘he’s handsome!’. My guess is that we’ll be returning to this video quite a bit in the next few days….
Thank you to Paul for helping my daughter and I with seeing ‘underneath’ the veneer of ‘disability’. And, I hope someone contacts the singers to let them know about Paul’s video/singing — what an encouragement that would be to them!
Grateful for ‘the light of grace,’

That was truly beautiful… thanks for sharing that.
I don’t sing of/to Jesus enough – sing on my brother Paul!
Thank you for sharing this. I loved it.
